Can anyone give me some advice about a BEd?

I am trained as a nursery nurse to level 3 (equalivent of 3 a-levels at A/B) and want to train to be a teacher. I am looking into a bachelor of education degree. Can anyone give me some advice about this please?

Not my cup of tea...but if you LOVE working with kids and being saddled with great restrictions on administering discipline to the feral little ones...as well as being severely restricted on what you can address in each subject and how to teach your subjects, go for it.

As you might have guessed, I'm a bit conservative...so bear that in mind. LOL

go for a distance education 2 year B.Ed program while working.

Your question is a bit vague. The part-time study route would be
1. Enrol for the 7307 and 7407 at your local Further Education College. These will give you the basics of teaching and you will also need to get NVQ assessors awards on the way.
2. Next, enrol for the Cert. Ed. or if you have a degree the Postgraduate Certificate in Education, available at Further Education Colleges.
3. By the time you have got these, you will have plenty of knowledge about where to go for a B.Ed.
