Can You Go from a BS. in Social Psychology to Masters in Nursing School? |
I'm just curious and weighting my options.. Have a Bachelors of Science in Social Psychology but it seems like everyones doing Nursing.. How can I correlate the two or would I be able to check into a school with a nursing program to further my education. Thanks 8-] (also if you know of any schools which may be of help) No, a masters in nursing (MSN) will require a bachelor in nursing (BSN). However, you can take a BSN program that will credit you for your existing bachelors such that you will only need to take the needed prereq classes (mostly science courses) if you haven't already taken them, then undertake studying nursing specific courses. Upon completion (which can be done in 1.5-2 years) you'll be awarded a BSN. Hence, you'll never have to take English 100 or any general core that a typical freshman would've had to take if they started from scratch. Good luck. |
