How much would it cost to go to nursing school?

Im finishing high school and I want to continue my education and I decided a nursing career would be the best way to go. It will pay well and you get benefits but I don't know where to start. What would be the steps to getting the education and degrees needed to become a nurse and approxamatly how much would it cost. I live near Pheonix, Az. Please only serious and correct information based on experiance or knowledge. Thank you !

It all depends which school you go to. You can get an RN degree from almost any Community College ($80 per credit hour). Or you can go to high end medical schools like Vanderbilt at $500 per credit hour.

I was a Nursing student at Florida Hospital. Takes 2 years to get an RN degree there at slightly more that $10,000. Nursing books can be very expensive.

Remember, most schools put you on a waiting list for the nursing program... so apply now. If you don't get into the nursing program at a school that you like then take pre-reqs first (Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, etc).

Good luck.

If you REALLY want an actual answer, then why are you asking it on Yahoo Answers?.. If you REALLY want an informative answer, then contact whatever Nursing School it is you want to go to.

Prices vary greatly... there is NO WAY to give you an answer because YOU didn't provide enough information...

This is like asking "how much is a roller coaster"... THERE IS NO ANSWER... and if you REALLY want serious and correct information then you NEED TO GO TO THE SOURCE and not from Yahoo Answers... because there IS NO ANSWER.
