What is the difference in levels of education and training between a nurse practitoner and a medical doctor?

I am curious about this since a nurse practitioner can do full exams and prescribe medications, what are the differences between her title and education levels and that of the medical doctor?

Thanks in advance for the information!

medical doctor have to go to medical school and then 3-5 years of residency

NP's have a masters degree, they work hand hand with the doctors starting salary 4 A np is 85,000-90,000 A YEAR

NP's usually go back to school to become a Doctor of Nurse DON, they make as much as doctors just less schooling

N.P.s work under the supervision of a doc. They have master's degrees. My sis-in-law is one and I would never trust her. She has been wrong about anything I have ever asked. Maybe there are some good ones out there, but they're just not as thoroughly trained as docs. Where I live you have to go thru a phys. asst. before a doc. They are often wrong too.
