How the scholarship for pursuing my PhD in nursing will assist me in my nursing career? |
I am going to continue my higher education in nursing, PhD in the biobehavioral interaction, I was asked to write an essay for the scholership application clarifying how this scholership will assist me in my nursing career. I am assuming with a PhD you will be looking to become a faculty member in a Nursing School. There is a huge teaching shortage that is only projected to get worse. The current age of the average School of Nursing faculty member is getting closer and closer to the age of retirement. With the "greying of the faculty" younger faculty members are desperately needed. I would focus on your awareness of this present situation and your desire to bring excellence into the classroom to inspire future nursing leaders. |
