Is there a way to get my Associate degree in Nursing without having to do the general education courses?

If so, please let me know....I hate Gen Ed. classes!

I mean no offense by this but if you're wanting to be a nurse, don't try and take the easy way out. Those Gen. Ed courses, although not fun at the time, will inevitably help you out in the long run especially in your career. Suffer through them and it will pay off.

Good luck.

if you can pass the NCLEX exam...I dont think it matters if you have taken ANY college classes.

dont quote me on that though.

Gen ed classes means

you are not smart enough for the regular classes that
you will be taking

which means you probably didn't study much in regular school
to remember how to do the regular college level work

now you have to pay to take classes
that you could have learned for free.

just study hard you will need to do that anyway
for the regular classes so get on with it

no one said it would be easy

No. All accredited colleges which grant degrees have to meet accreditation requirements, which include GE courses for all degrees. The number and type can change from college to college but the requirement won't. btw, an unaccredited degree is worth exactly nothing.

I guess it would depend on what you have available to your in your area. The community college I went to you had to take the general education classes in addition to the core classes required for nursing. There is also an actual nursing college in town which did not require all those additional classes, just focusing intently on nursing, but from what I understand tuition was higher.

no way dear u must begin at the bottom of the ladder
