Need info on nurse education????

I recently being interested in becoming a nurse. what type of education do i need? what are the different types of nurses i can become? All information or websites given will be very appreciated. thanks!!

community college..u can get LPN..usually 10-15 months...can then work or transfer to associates program to be ASN..usually 1 more year..If you start out asso. 2 years.. BSN is 4 years..from there u can do MSN, nurse practictioner, etc. LPN usually has testing and interview procedures before acceptance..2 years programs are usually tough to get into..a lot of applicants..few slots.

Once you are a nurse and go to work, most facilties will pay part of your tuition to go back and further your education. GL

you can start at being a certified nurse assistant..

then go for a Licensed Practical Nurse program (1 yr.)

then fo the Registered Nurse (+1 yr)

then your BSN, then so on...

for the CNA, LPN, and RN you are required to take an exam to get your license.

Check your local community college on programs they have.
