Well first you will need to get your ged. Then take the required test to gain entrance into the program.

get your GED, then go from there

The best way:

Take your GED
Go to a community college - work through the prerequisites until you can get into their nursing program
work it from there....

you may be able to find a vocational college in your area that offers the LPN program even if you do not have a diploma/GED. You just need to call around and find out. Also you can sometimes get your GED in just a few short days at a community college. If I were you I would scratch the whole LPN idea and go for RN. Where I live in florida the program is only about 6 months longer. When you look at it you'll make more money for a small amount of additional work. I am currently an RN nursing student. Good luck.

First thing, complete an acredited CNA class-try local tech school along with CPR certification and First Aid Certification. Sign up for the LPN first because more than likely you will be put on a waiting list. Then get the others while waiting and you will be ahead of the ball game. Daughter just went thru this-local tech schools have great programs and the counselors will help get you scheduled. Good Luck

First you need to go get your GED. Some community colleges will tutor you and help you obtain it free. Then ask to register for and find out when classes start. Stick with it and you won't regret it. Good luck !

First you need to get your GED (your high school diploma). Then you will have to pick a school with an LPN program...generally it is the technical colleges that offer LPN, universities and private colleges (which is what I chose) have RN programs. You will need to call the school and tell them your interested in enrolling in a LPN program and you will probably need to meet with an advisor to see what classes you need to take. You will also have to set up a time to take some placement tests to see if you may need to take extra math or english classes. Generally once your in the college, your advisor will guide you along. But, first, you need to get your GED and then call colleges to see what you need to do next. Always call around and ask! People are always willing to help. And good for you for wanting to go back!
If you want the LPN do that. A RN is longer than the LPN and this way if you complete the LPN, you can start working, and then if you decide you can always go back for your RN.
