What kind of financial help is available to CNAs who wish to further their nursing education?

Probably not much in most cases. If you're lucky you could find an employer that pays tuition assistance.

I recommend applying for financial aid to see what you are eligible for, you might be pleasantly surprised. Most people are eligible for SOME kind of aid, either grants or low-interest student loans. Take every opportunity that is given to you, even if it's loans. While loans are scary to think about, especially if you borrow a large amount, it's worth it in the end and as a RN you would easily be able to afford them once they go into the repayment period after you graduate.

Keep good grades and you can earn scholarships as well.

Going to college is a financial burden for many many people. But the sacrifices you make are definitely worth it. The only thing more expensive than going to college is NOT going to college.

Good luck!

They save from their substantial salarys and pay to go back to school....
