Access to higher education (nursing career)? |
I was wondering if this would be a good route to go on to begin a career in nursing?? I was hoping to start in September. I did it last year and it was hard work but really worth it. For nursing you need to do the biology/science element of the course, lots of people on the course with me went on to do nursing and found the course a really good preparation for academic work. Probably not much in most cases. If you're lucky you could find an employer that pays tuition assistance. I recommend applying for financial aid to see what you are eligible for, you might... You're too late to do any applications for funding outside the school your son will be attending. But the school itself should have several options. Your local library will be your greatest... administrative nursing, clinical manager, nursing supervisor... that's only what I can think of off the top of my head. not to mention that it's another step towards nurse practitioners....
