How to start nursing education? |
what should I start from? Go to a college that you are interested in and make an appointment with a class or scheduling Coordinator. They will talk with you to about what your interests are and then go from there. They can help set up all the necessary testing to determine what level of studies you should be in , help you in getting transcripts from any other schools you attended in the past(including high school) and then help get the right classes and schedules for you. They will also give you all the goverment grant, student loans and financial assistance paperwork to fill out to see if you are eligible for any of that. |

I would go where your heart is. In twenty years your dream job will just be a job. Nursing is VERY stressful, 12 hour shifts, bad working conditions, nasty doctors and patients, and your feet alw... I did it last year and it was hard work but really worth it. For nursing you need to do the biology/science element of the course, lots of people on the course with me went on to do nursing and fou... Probably not much in most cases. If you're lucky you could find an employer that pays tuition assistance. I recommend applying for financial aid to see what you are eligible for, you might... You're too late to do any applications for funding outside the school your son will be attending. But the school itself should have several options. Your local library will be your greatest... administrative nursing, clinical manager, nursing supervisor... that's only what I can think of off the top of my head. not to mention that it's another step towards nurse practitioners.... |
