In your opinion , how does mass nursing education affect curriculum? |
Enrollment fo the nursing degree in the Philippines is phenomenally increasing year after year yet the quality of graduates according to most renowed nurses is declining. It seems to me that mass nsg. education, would take a lot of the "personal" element out of it. With a larger number of students, obviously instructors will have to spend less time with each student. it seems that every hospital/clinic i go in the US, Canada and UK, I can bet my penny I'll meet a Filipino nurse/s. To me that's amazing. Onthe otherhand, with the mass enrollment you guys are having there.... most of those who enrolled on it are actualy thinking more of working abroad as soon as they pass the board exam... which is to me not a very good reason to be a nurse. realistically, we all think of getting a big income hence the reason of wanting to get a degree... but what good is it to you when in just a few years you ended up burnt out or bored and can't be **** with it??? It means starting from the very beginning again or continuing where you are and producing bad result for the clients. |
