Nursing: Education? |
how long does it take to study to become a nurse in the UK? Any feedback from people that have done this would also be great, thanks guys. PS what qualifications do I need to qualify for the course? It takes three years and you can study for a diploma or a degree as well as your nursing registration. Your first year is the same as all trainee/student nurses in your 2nd and 3rd year you study for the branch of nursing you want to specialise in, such as Adult, Childrens, Mental Health or Midwifery. You have to pay an annual fee to keep registered once you qualify and demonstrate you are fit to practice. You generally need 5 gsce's to qualify for entry, one in English, one in a Science. |
