Why to most of the indians choose medical line or engineering ?

i'm a student in england. basically from india...... to my knowledge most of the indians are either doctor, nurses or enigneers! but why! are they not aware of other courses , or is it jusr too easy to get into those courses. british students get good education from the basic yet ...they dont succeed well!

Dear,
These days people don't study for knowledge, the idea of doing a degree or a professional course is to earn money.
Naturally the students will try to do a course which is in demand, and highly paid.
Presently, doctors, engineers , IT persons & highly qualified Accounatants are paid high salary.
hence the demand to do these courses.

Indian knowledege of pure mathematics is the advantage.

Well, I don't know how it is there, but here in the US, it seems like certain people are getting special privelages. For example, I grew up with a Korean girl who was adopted by a white family. After we graduated, she spent years in college to become a doctor because she got her entire tuiton paid for and her adopted parents didn't pay a dime. I had another friend who wanted to be a vet but neither her nor her parents could afford all the schooling it would take to get it done. She tried everything to get help and couldn't get a dime. It's like people here that are of other nationalities are guaranteed to get all the help they need, because if they get turned down, they'll scream racism. I have nothing against others, but I think it should only be fair that if you are going to help some, then you should help all. It shouldn't depend on what nationality you are.

In order to earn more money and
serve the society at the same time.
