Malarone help please?

I have a few questions about Malarone. Please only answer if you know the answer!
Does it matter if you take Malarone only 6 days after leaving the area?
I took a tablet today and was planning to take one tomorrow before leaving on wednesday. But I won't actually be in the infected area until thursday so does it matter if I skip tomorrow then take one on wednesday?
Or I could take one tomorrow and wednesday but will it make a difference if I take one for 3 days in advance?
I can't find the information I need on the internet and I may need to order 2 more tablets as my nurse prescribed me with the wrong amount and my group leader told me to start on the wrong day. Help appreciated thanks!

This drug is useful only to prevent one type of malaria i.e. malaria falciparum. It should be started at least two days before you travel to the endemic area (infected area). You should continue taking it till you are in the area. You can stop the drug one week after you return. The tablets should not be skipped. It should be taken as I have described. You are protected only as long as you take the tabs.
