I'm looking into becoming a nurse that works in the maternity ward in the hospital. What is this job called? Just a "nurse" or what?? I'm stilll in high school, and it was just one of the careers I was looking into. Any information would be great!! thanks I don't really know anything about this field of work,so, where can I get info on it?? Obstetrical nurse is the name given to professional people who care for pregnant women. There is a whole world of different fields you can go into. Do you like new babies? Or do you like helping people? When you go to college there is a test you can take to help show you where your interests are. And there is a book in the library where you can look up all the different vocations. The best job is the one that you love to do and could do for the rest of your life. The better you get at something the more you'll realize just how much you have to offer the world and true contentment in life comes from serving others. Good luck with all your choices. It's called 'midwife' isn't it? It's way ok to call a hospital and ask... my girl is a nurse she'd know all about that crap contact me and i could get her in contact with you cuz she friggen knows everything i have no idea but im a senior at cortez and you are call me at 602-445-6398 ask for brendon maternity nurse there are LPN's and RN's. Both can work in a maternity ward. If I were you, I'd go for the RN. They make more $$. you need to get your RN, and a master's is best so you can be on top of the food chain. A CNM is a certified nurse midwife, and they often work in maternity wards. The other nurses typically have RN's and just have a concentration in OB/GYN areas. To be a nurse , you will have to earn a degree in Nursing,so you will have to give one entrance exam and then you have training and then you will enter to your occupation. Neonatal care Nurse. (New borns) Or NICU Nurse. (Neonatal intensive care unit) |
