Does anyone know how you can become a lactation nurse?

I am a mother of two and i breastfeed them both my friends have had babies and just two more firends had babes and so i helped them like the others with feeding and it hit me this is what i want to do after not having a clue at the age of 25 what i was going to do for the rest of my life besides being a mother there it was right in front of my face . So i am looking for info and help to see what i have to do to make this happen!

i know how you feel did the same thing i know in my town there are not many so there is a demand i wanted to do it i went to my local wic office got info .you don't need a lot of schooling they have seminars for schooling i know you need medical terminology before you go to the class also go to the hospital they have specialist there they can steer in in the right way faster

My friend has three daughters, and she had some problems so she really appreciated being helped. She became really active as a volunteer with LaLeche, and they trained her in counselling other women - even over the phone - and in helping them relax with their child.
