Florence Nightingale- reduced war(Crimean War) time deaths but nearly 1/2, she did this by keeping the Hospitals clean, assessment, she started Training for nurses to make the profession a respectable one for women.
Virginia Henderson-defined nursing as "assisting individuals to gain independence in relation to the performance of activities contributing to health or its recovery".
