I need a hepatitis B vaccination before i can start a care job but my doctors surgery doesn't provide them!!

I saw my doctor and she said to make and appointment at the reception to have the vaccination and the nurse can do it for me. So i went to the reception desk and asked to book it, than they said they don't do that vaccination there and were really unhelpful and clueless so i have nooooo idea what to do, how do i get it?? I can't just go to another doctors surgery (anyone who lives in england will understand). How do i go about getting it done?

I've quit my last job and can't start until i get it... i need it soon cos i'm a student and money is draining fast!

This is a routine vaccination... all medical clinics should have it. It's strange that yours doesn't. What I would do is call into their call center and ask someone else. That employee that you talked to might have been full of crap.

If they still don't have it, call another clinic. Since this vaccine is routine, you should be able to get it anywhere. Good luck!

You should contact your employer who hired you and maybe he can put you in touch with a provider who can do it. Usually these type of vaccinations are provided at an Occupational Medicine clinic and the healthcare job you applied for should have their own Occupational medicine provider. Occupational Medicine is what they call it in the US, It may be different for you in England. I hope that helped. By the way the vaccine is a 3 shot vaccine. You get one then a month later you get the second then 6 months later.
