Is there laws about a boss that curses you and is verbally abusive? I resently quit a job i loved because of 1 |
I had been working at this place for 12 years and loved what I did, then they hired this new lady boss she seem to hate me and made my life a nightmare, the day after she got there I over heard her talking bad about me while I was in the restroom and she didn't know that I could hear her, when I ask her about it she told me that it was none of my Da-- business and suspended me refusing to even let me get a piece of paper off of my desk. I did nothing wrong. When I reported her to her boss he came and said he talked to others who worked there and no one else had a problem with her which I know isn't true, but they were afraid for thier jobs. The thing that makes this so heartbreaking is that this is a nursing home and she stated very clear she doesn;t do the family thing and she hates children. I worry about all the little residents that I love. You should look into the ethics standards section(s) of the Joint Commission agency, this agency regulates almost every aspect of a health care facility and there practices. Also you can get OSHA involved, this agency also deals with the health care but only in the "safety" aspect. I have learned that the word safety also implies not only to hazardous materials and situations but to safety in the "work environment" in that a coworker can conduct themselves in a threatening way (as to) and there by creating an unsafe working environment. This is not a word play, it is a fact. you should look into this. I'm sorry you had to go through that. One of my last jobs was something similar in your case, except they let me go because it wasn't enough in their budget to keep me and four other people. We've all had the bosses from h**l. This isn't pretty. She created a hostile work environment not only for you, but for your co-workers as well. Is there sufficient evidence that she has abused, be it physical or verbal, the residents of this facility? If so, you have an obligation to report suspected elder abuse. |
