Do you have your dream job?

we all grow up dreaming of being doctors, actors and working in space. but how many of you have gotten your dream job?

So heres the question. what did you want to be when you were a kid, and did you meet that dream or are you doing something totally different now?

And for anyone that wants to know, I always dreamt of being in health care, and now Im a head nurse. Hope your dreams came true!!!

thankyou I'm glad your dream came true ..mine did too!!

It's not my dream job, but my interest and fun.

i wish...

i always wanted 2 b a truck driver

I wanted to be a chemist when I was a child. But after taking a few chemistry lab classes in college and the required calculus classes, I changed my major to psychology. Now I work as a clerk in a dairy products warehouse. Not exactly my dream job, but hey... it pays the bills.

Hmm... I don't have a job. (I'm 15) But I do aspire to go to medical school and become a doctor, and I think as long as I have that dream, don't become lazy, stay out of the bad stuff, and work hard, what's keeping me from it?

To me, anyone who doesn't reach their dreams (or potential) is just plain lazy. Lazy is the last thing I want to be.

all i ever wanted to be was a wife and mom...i fcuked that up all to hell...so no my dreams never did come true......

I wanted to be a nurse when I was little but now I am a grade school librarian. I am happy every day that I have this job, not many things are as rewarding as sharing my love for books and reading with young people. Plus, summers off!!! Fun question.

NO! My dreams are way off from what I do!

I always wanted my own business and still slave at poverty wages for a huge corporation.

When I was in middle school, I read a novel called Other Women's Children and decided that I wanted to be a pediatrician. I knew I wanted a job in which I could work directly with people, be creative, and make decisions.

But in the summer after my freshman year of college, I had the opportunity to teach middle schoolers, and it was so much fun -- so challenging, so creative, so entertaining -- I never went back to the pre-med plan.

I hated hearing that I was wasting my academic potential, but nowadays I can't imagine doing any other kind of work. I tend to get intense about things -- jeez, have I really answered 90 questions in the past three days????? -- and teaching actually rewards that intensity. I never feel like I'm wasting my energy.

I'm a 16 year-old-kid who works in a cd/dvd/video game store... THAT'S a dream...
As for a career, I want to be a teacher, and I will strive to attain it, pushing through college waiting tables and selling cds...

No.

I have always wanted to be a nurse and stii want to be but its hard right now with work and a child but I will pursue it one day I pray.

As a kid I wanted to be a cowboy or a soldier. I didn't give the former much thought after age 8, but I did harbor hopes of going to one of the service academies (Navy) but by the time of my senior year in high school I realized my grades weren't quite good enough. In college, I tried to enlist in the Army but got turned down because of a minor kidney condition. I guess I was just as glad because shortly after the buildup in Vietnam started.

I studied architecture and wanted to write, too. You know, Frank Lloyd Wright and Ernest Hemingway rolled up in one individual. Writing won out when I got lost in college physics after the third week of classes my sophomore year. I knew I didn't want my buildings to fall down so I gave up architecture. Today I am a full-time novelist, after serving my apprenticeship as a journalist and freelance writer. Working on my first book that I hope will be finished some day soon because I've got a few more novels kicking in my head.

Yes i always wanted to be a film director.

but i had an even bigger dream and it was to become an M.D.
and im currently an honor student at med school, plus i research stem cells with some very respected doctors.

awsome question.

I've wanted to be a fashion designer since 5th grade, I think. But first I have to finish high school and go to college before that's gonna happen.

Well I just recently hired on at a bank and I really enjoy! CSA position. I'm quite thankful for it and I hope to do it for awhile for sure.

My dream job is to do something that would bring some good into this world. Such as: find a cure for all incurable diseases, ending homelessness and poverty, things like that.

I wanted to be a Police Officer, but some how ended up working in the Dry Cleaning business. I truly wish that i would have followed my dream as a kid.

I always dreamed of being an actress, and ofcourse, that dream never came true.

well, i wanted to be a dentist or a stunt woman...i'm neither;
