Is a police officer's job boring?

I am a teenager considering a career in law enforcement. My personality type is ESTP, you can search this in google and find out a little more about it if you want to really help. This personality type is the type that can and enjoys "putting out fires," not literally though.

I don't want to be a firefighter. If you think a police officer's job is boring, what is a career, where you never know what's going to happen that day? A career where just about everyday has a little something different in it.

An example of what I am talking about is like a trauma nurse who works in a Level I Trauma Facility, the ER.

Any help is greatly appreciated and Thank you in advance.

When there's no action, I'm sure police officers are wishing that they could be doing something else. Overall, I'd think the job would be very stimulating.

Police work is 95% boring and 5% pure terror. It's great! Ask to go on a "ride-along" with your local police department. Ride alongs are free and a great way to see if police work is the right fit for you. You can ride with an officer for the whole shift if you want. A tip: Go on a Friday or Saturday night. Ride during a swing shift; days and graveyards are more calm.

no, it's very interesting and keeps you busy. My cousin's husband is a police officer
