Would you take a job from an aunt?

My aunt offered me a job to help her in her canteen. I need the cash. I thought, why not?
Today however, I got an email from my sister who just recently visited her. My sis told me that our aunt made her look after (nurse) her sick friend, without even asking. They drove to her friend's place and left my sister there! My sis also said that our aunt would let her (my sis) carry her (aunt) bag everytime they go out. This I find really inappropriate.
Now, I am confused. Because if she could treat guests (my sister was her guest) like that, how much people working for her? What would you do if you were me?

i think even if she wasn't so rude like she is, there would be moments when she'd ask or tell you to do something that would make you feel like her servent...family is good for that sometimes...
on the plus side - if you screw something up or if your late you won't get fired..more understanding if you have to leave early....and the pay might be better than other places.

looking back, you've asked this question before...if your having doubts don't do it and your husband should support any answer you decide. if you have to work, he's not working hard enough :)

what would i do...i speak a little to openly all the time, if i would have even been offered the job i'm sure it would have worked out....not sure how you and your aunts relationship is.

Are you asian? I am asian too..so I know ..aunts will treat us like free labor..they expect your respect but they won't treat us well and sometimes not even pay!! so don't work for her. Better keep distance so you can still have good relationship with her

Just my opinion, but i wouldn't take the job, I'm sure you could find a different job. Good Luck ^j^
