My job is on the line and i need peoples comments and suggestions abt this situation?

Hi, i work in a pharmacy and a nurse was calling in a prescription. i helped her out and informed her of our services and she liked it and thanked me. a day later the ceo of my company called saying that she heard me say that russian translating is stupid ( i had to translate the prescription directions in russian with this service that we have an acct with ) i know for a fact i said nothing like this and my boss wants to write me up. i dont know what to do because i know 100% i didn't say it and i honestly dont know where she got it from, and im suspose to email the ceo to explain myself but i dont know where to start or what to say because this is so sudden and very shocking since i know i wasn't disrespectful or unprofessional. i even went out of my way to find the company acct for the translation service since we never used it before. anyone have any suggestions? comments? advice please, i need my job and if you know me i work hard all the time i never have lesuire time at work

If you never said anything like that, make it clear that you won't stand for them placing something negative like that in your work record (write up). Somebody must have made a false accusation against you. Stand your ground. There has to be proof for them to tarnish your name like that. You should fight it. If they still try to punish you, or write you up you might have to take legal action against the company.

I don't think that even if you did say that Russian translation is stupid, that that would be an offense you could be fired for. Ask for documentation from whoever said you said that. Ask to see you company policies and procedures, and follow the procedure for contesting disciplinary actions. Also, if the matter gets worse for you, let them know you are seeking an attorney's advice in case this should lead to wrongful dismissal, and for slander and assassination of character of whoever is spreading lies about you as a professional.
