After job interview, employer ask for referral does that mean interest?

It had a phone interview for about an hour, I am applying as a nurse and will relocate to Calgary. She ask me to give her reference people ASAP and the criminal record check. She ask me when I am willing to relocate & start date. Does that mean I am offered a job? I ask her if she is & she said well she has to do paper works and I will know next week. Was it even right for me to as if the job was being offered because i kindda blurted in excitement the question. She e-mailed me too that "You gave a great interview"

Get job by referral of an insider.

A new type of job solution is getting hot this year. They are community websites connecting job-seekers with current employees of good companies. Job-seekers can get a good chance to be noticed, whenever the insider employee think he is worth referring. Insider employees can usually claim a nice "employee referral bonus" from his own employer on a successful referral.

There are 4 such websites in the world, 3 in USA. All of them are new in 2007. The largest one is InsidersReferral.com . They seems having the best marketing program, because they have the most number of members.

Hope this information is helpful.

I wouldn't bet against you. It sounds like the vibes you hear are very positive.

First, they have to confirm you aren't serial killer. So, be patient and let'em do that.

Calgary is gorgeous. I envy you.

Possibly, but there's no guaranteed.

It sounds like you do not get a job offer until your references and background are checked out with a positive result.

you'll be offered a job if your references are decent and your background check comes back clean.
