What is the most profitable job in the United States aside from being a nurse?

Nursing is not a profitable job. Nursing is a job for compassionate and caring people in the medical profession. Money is not a factor as they are very well paid for what they do.

The most profitable jobs are for those people with masters or doctorate degrees who are CEO's, etc... of large publicly traded companies (stock options increase the overall salary). The other profitable jobs are for those people who run their own company, ala Bill Gates.

I'm not recommending it, but that's probably most profitable, but it's dangerous and illegal...
