What is a good career choice for a 25 yr male has bipolar disorder and is having a hard time keeping a job?

He has 3 certifications Hair dressing, realtor, and the latest
cna . He started work in a nursing home and is so unhappy and freaked out that he is having a hard time. He does not do well in chaotic noisy envirenments . the shift he has is both and he is the only male .He feels under a microscope being the only male.T
he average age of his co workers is 40 to 50. Everyone talks really loud because they are dealing with older folks. He wants to get another certification in the health field but doesnt know what. Any ideas what aspect in the medical field would work for him. Hes so smart and articulate but does have anxietys with lots of noise and people. There is a co worker that is daily telling him that there is a high drop out rate and maybe its not for him. Shes doing a job on his confidence level Any and all suggestions . Thanks

He does not need to work around the general public because that type of environment will give him sensory overload and trigger the emotional outbursts.

Working night shifts in a very quiet solitary environment would be best.

A job doing X-rays......or working in Central Supply at the hospital would be best....

Very little direct patient contact... he would be around people who understand his disorder.... and he may find that he not only likes it... but he thrives on it.

I am a nurse and trust me when I tell you... he is not the only bi-polar person to work in healthcare. Many nurses and health care staff have it ... medicate for it... and cope with it everyday... and still do their jobs effectively. He will just have to commit to what he wants to do and go for it. It can be done, and we need people like him in healthcare because they understand these disorders from the inside out and can actually be of help to many people.

Maybe he just needs to get out of That nursing home... maybe CNA in a hospital or a sports therapy rehab...or home health... there's plenty of jobs out there and nursing homes can be a bit depressing/chaotic for even the stablest of indivuiduals! (I worked in one for five years I know)

Pharmacist Technician. Hospitals all have huge interior pharmacies and operate 24 hours a day. You do not have to deal with the public, and for the most part you are in the basement where you work on filling orders, making IVs, and working on the computer. Good pay too... well at least not bad pay.

I agree that working 3rd shift might be a good idea for him. Or perhaps doing back office work. Maybe billing and coding.
