What is o.e. data collection, and what does the "IP" stand for in IP nursing unit? |
In a job listing for a unit secretary(link is below), it says "clerical support for IP nursing unit; requires basic computer skills, o.e. data collection, communication". IP = in-patient, meaning the patients stay there at least 24 hours or more, it's not an out-patient clinic where patients come and then leave, and it's also different from observation, where a patient could stay for up to 23 hours and be in a room with a bed. I wonder if it means 'inpatient'(?) |
