I need a job description for a wound care nurse? The Outpatient Wound Care Nurse Clinician provides acute and chronic wound care services to the critically ill and chronically ill patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric. Responsible for suggesting activities for the multi disciplinary approach to the total patient care in the outpatient setting. Responsible to provide routine and emergency hyperbaric treatments to the various types seen by this service. Trained to provide hyperbaric wound care at the surface sea level as the inside attendant in the monoplace chamber to depths as far as 3ATA and 6ATA. Provides care on an on-call basis for emergent cases in accordance with established protocols. Provides inpatient wound care as defined and needed. Current ACLS Certification preferred to within six 6 months of employment. Certified Hyperbaric Nurse or Technologist exam completed within eighteen 18 months of employment. Certified WCON or WOCN preferred . Knowledge of AHCPR guidelines for pressure ulcers. Previous 2 years Wound Care experience. wound care specialist isn't it kinda self explanitory??? LPN? Orderly? Med Tech? call a hospital and ask for one. I'm sure they would be happy to tell you or ask someone in human resources. |
