Anoyone know of places that certified nursing asst. can apply at?

i know nursing homes are where the majority of CNAs work and some in hospitals, but can they work in Drug Rehabilition centers, or offices? anyone know of other types of places i can apply that might pay good or be an interesting job?

I have worked in retirement homes, a home for mentally & physically disabled adults, Hospice, home health agencies, hospitals, & some doctors offices.

I work as a CNA in the hospitals, nursing home, but agency and private sitter cases is where I make my money. it depends on what you are looking for, if it is pay, then nursing agenices sometimes pay more but the hours are not always stable. A clinic is a good place to work, the conditions are not really bad, the work is not physical, but the pay may be lower and becaue of the hours you may earn less.

I work in a hospital in an ER. My base pay is 11.68hr, I recieve shift diff of 1.75 extra to work at night, 1.00 extra for weekends, paid time for on call hrs at 1.50 and if called it is at time and a half. There is overtime occasionally and I gross about 3,000 a month in the hospital.

I work agency also and I like the flexiablitiy b/c I work when I want. I work for The Staffing Difference in Peoria Ill, they are open 24 hrs so I call anytime I am ready to work. The pay varies by the facility but it ranges from 13-15 an hour. I can choose how I get paid daily or weekly and they staff all over the place. I get to pick the shifts, if i don't like a place I do not have to go back.

Private duties vary. Money can be untaxable. Upper income people pay more money the average is 10-15 per hour. Perks of this job include freedom to do whatever and you are not exhasted at the end of the day , differnt people expect different things. Worse case senerio here , you could get someone you absolutely despise or the person dies leaving you with no job.

Nursing home are very physical, and they demand alot of your time. Some pay well while other do not. I work for Bickford Cottage PRN an upscale nursing home they expect you to do dishes, laundry, patient care, cooking etc, and they pay only 9hr.

Its basically what is best for you I keep my job at the ER for the experience, benefits. Agency for quick pay and flexiability, homecare for flexability and easy pay, and nursing home as a referecnce on my resume.
