Mom out of state sister has power of attorney does not inform us on moms health. put mom in nursing home has? |
what are my rights to know the condition of moms health.sister tell us nothing.what is she hiding???why???she got mom to sign her as power of attorney. Sister has stated how she hates mom put mom in nursinghome and did not tell us. i donot trust my sister. she lives out of state. what can i do???brother&I go to see her as often as we can. costs $1200. each time so we are limited. want to bring mom to my home where she has more family and is truly loved.I am at a loss-sister justhangsup on my phone calls.sister took careofmomandwe think she did not do a good job afterbabysittinggrandson. donot know what she wants from momnowthatsheis in a nursing home.this really tears a family apart-i feelidon't have a sister and that she is selfish & mean get yourself a lawer who may be able to change the power of attorney to you and your brother or all three then your sister can't make any decision without you. If your mother is of sound mind and gave your sister power of attorney there is nothing you can do. If you feel your mother is not of sound mind, you can have a contesting to that action but it will cost you to hire an attorney etc. Its all about the legal system at this point sadly. Your best bet if you really want your mom to come live with you is kiss up to your sister. |
