Im shy will that affect my future job? |
i enjoy helping others and I do talk once im comfortable with people. my dad says that because im shy a career as a teacher or nurse will be difficult for me. he says i should have a office type job whatever that is. I have no interest in that! he also said i should be a medical technologist and again no interest in that. its hard for me to go up to someone and just start talking but if im forecd to do it, I will. i tutor kids right now, and i volunteer in hospital and i work part time in a nursing home. im manging just fine! if u are able to do all those extracurricular/volunteering that u mentioned, i say...dont listen to ur dad! dont do a job u hate just cuz ur afraid of being shy at ur dream job. i have an anxiety disorder and am seeing a psychologist, but i dream of becoming a child psychologist. im 17. Yes it will,because applying for a good job requires good and active comunication skills.during an interview,you must be able to talk alot to pass.If its hard for you,then you better have good memories on the thing you should talk. |
