Job Problems (please respond with wisdom)!? |
Hey guys I am really down and out, I can't find a job that ever works for me. I just got fired from my job tonight at as a late night grocery stocker which was terribly fast paced anyway and I wanted to quit so bad. I've been through a lot of jobs but I can't seem to find the one that works for me. I've been a telemarketer (too much stress and preassure to sell), worked in factories and grocery stores (too fast paced), done data entry typing (which was good but I'm moving to Toronto soon and apparently you need to know keystroke 1-10 which i don't), fast food and nursing home food prep (hated both and moved on) and a few non-sales positions which were nice, I would call buisnesses and ask if they used credit cards then asked if they take american experss and hang up, easy. I liked that position a lot. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should take up that would fit into a person like me. I don' have a liscesnce, want to be alone, and don't care if the job is repedaive/but slow! Look for another Market Research job, or improve your keystrokes ability. You can find programs over the internet that can help you practise your typing, to get your speed up. Before developing skills you might not need in your future "dream job" - try searching on the internet for "Free Carreer Aptitude Tests" Taking that type of test can open your eyes and broaden your horizon. Report It Have you ever tried working with children? It isn't hard and with kids you don't have to be a certain speed. Kids just want a little attention from you and don't ask for much especially in a daycare setting! well, after seeing your past questions.........maybe you should go smoke some more "medical weed" when you get to Toronto, that should clear things up as to where you want your life to go. Stop the drugs, and get off your *** and work. Have you thought about going to school (college, vocational school, etc.)? You may want to try taking the Myers-Briggs and/or Strong Interest Inventory. These tests will give you some insight as to what your skills and interests are. This will help you in either a job search or to determine what kinds of classes/majors you should study in school. |
