Question regarding nursing Homes in the UK?

This may sound like a really daft question but are all nursing home now just money focused?
We have new owners and all they have done is cut staffing levels to the absolute minimal levels (we are a heavy home), changed the food to cheap brands from a cash and carry type place (ffod is now awful) and many of the residents wont eat it! What 89 year olds eat chicken curry with lime pickles or sweet and sour with rice! They were used to having fresh food and typically meat and two vegh meals.
Also the gloves and pads we use now are stock conteolledand are cheap and awful! In other words the tools we now use don;t do the job as well. Pads leak...soaking wet linen etc
I've had a bit of a rant and i am sorry but I'm appalled at what seems to be happening in todays UK nursing homes.

hi yes unfortunattley most seam the same i used to work in one along time ago now our heating didnt work and one of the staff members was really rough with the residents the managers really did not care

You can make a complaint to the care commission. All care homes must meet the National Care Standards. You are in a position to ,your residents may not be.
Not all care homes are like this though
