What area of nursing are men going into nowadays? |
I want to go into a field in nursing that men are common in so it's easy to get a job! I would think that for men or women alike, that long-term care/nursing home facilities would have the most jobs. I've also seen male nurses at hospitals, however, I'm not sure how tough it is to secure a nursing position in a hospital setting. I wonder about sub-acute care rehab programs and the availability of nursing positions. Those programs may also be found at a long-term care facility. Most men are in EDs and ICU's. Obviously not many in OB/GYN stuff, a few on the floor, but mostly in the units. |
