Nursing or Business major? |
I sometimes wonder if I made the right decision by dropping out of the nursing program but I really didn't like it. I don't want the liability of hurting someone. What do you think as far as the job market (opportunity and pay) goes between a business major in comparison to nursing major? I am a nurse (RN). I was going to go for my masters, but I decided I wanted to go into business. I have been wanting to do it for a while because nursing is just not for me. The liability, the hours on your feet, the constant bs, everything about it. The pay is very good, but you pretty much know what you can make and that's it. With business, if you really try, you can go further and there is no limit to how much you can make. If you are strong, creative, smart, and think anything is possible like me than business is for you. Nursing has too many limitations and the wear and tear on your body after many years is not worth it to me. Nurisng is career that you want to do. If you don't like it then you probably shouldn't do it. You can always purchase malpractice insurance. Currently nurses are in demand and are well paid. Many hospitals will pay for you to further your education so you can become an admin etc. Like the other person said it is alot of stress. But just ask yourself could you see yourself doing it. If not then go with business. Please try: http://www.nursingmasters.com They have lots of good information on various nursing degrees both Bachelors and Masters |
