How different is it being a CNA to work in a retirement home than a nursing home?

I have worked as a CNA for nursing homes and was wondering if they carry the same job description and if not, what is the difference. I do not want to work in a nursing home again and I was wondering if it was any different?

Other than the name, there is no difference. Different places/regions/companies call their facilities different names. I work for a skilled nursing facility that called itself a "living center".

Facilities often have different units where resident are separated according to level of function. You could always request a certain unit if you prefer to work with higher functioning patients.

The clients will likely remember your name in the retirement home, there will be less drooling

there's no big difference honestly.
