How should I answer "do you have any questions" on a job interview?

I have a job interview in a little while for a nursing externship in the ICU - I really want this position -

when they ask if I have any question, though, I'd like to ask something and not look stupid - what should I ask?

Ask this, "What can I do to convince you that I am the best candidate for this position?"

Always have some questions prepared to ask in a job interview - it shows you have a genuine interest in the position and in the company and that you're someone who isn't just going to accept any job that someone might offer.

Do your research ahead of your interview, and ask a question based on your research. Or ask them to clarify something that may have come up. But you must do your research.

You don't have to ask unless you really have something to ask; and in that case you must ask it in a polite and clear manner.

A few suggestions:

1. What opportunities are there for advancement in this position? (Shows you want to excel)

2. What are some of the challenges facing the ICU currently? (If not already discussed)

3. Is this a newly created position? If not, why is it vacant?

Good luck.

When such a response arises, reply something like this:
Yes, I do. What would you say is the best thing about working for this company?
How can I contribute effectively to this job?
Where would I be working?
What would be my first assignments?
What are the challenges of the organization?
鈥ow would you describe the responsibilities of the position?
鈥ow would you describe a typical week/day in this position?
鈥s this a new position? If not, what did the previous employee go on to do?
鈥hat is the company's management style?

PLEASE ASK ONLY COUPLE OF QUESTIONS...
All the best

ask them what a typical day is likey to be like for you

ask them what makes them passionate about their job if they have not mentioned

what there schedule is for filling the position

ask anything they don't tell you no matter how uncomfortable like hours pay benefits. If they go over all that and ask if you have any questions ask if they ever serve chocolate mousse for dessert =) being funny may make an impression

"Why is the position open?"

"Please describe a typical day in the ICU"

"How long is the training process?"

"When will you make your final decision?"
