Which job is harder being a Nurse or being a Physical Therapist?

please explain why

It depends on which context you mean, and what one's particular strengths and weaknesses. Nursing requires more declaritive memory...memorizing medications, procedures, etc.

Physical therapy requires more reasoning such as using results of examination to design a treatment program, etc.

They can both be equally physically demanding...depending on the setting.

Historically, however, physical therapy is a harder program to gain entrance and requires a higher degree. Entry level nursing is offered at the associates and BS level while entry level PT is an MS or doctorate level degree.

...and no, there is not a "glut" of PTs...the job is in high demand and expected to grow "much faster than average" through 2014...the same as nursing.

Nursing, definitely.

You have to define "harder" and what kind of nurse?

Nurses have worse schedules (midnights, weekends) whereas PT is more 9 am - 9 pm

PT's have alot more paperwork to complete. and more years of college.

There is a glut of PT's, and a shortage of Nurses.
