During the summer I have a chance to get a 6-week job at a hospital as a nurse tech. I am currently a first?

year nursing student. I have to write a one page double spaced essay over "The future of nursing-my role" I am so nervous that I have been trying to write something down for 2 weeks now but I am stuck. I would like to eventually offer my services to 3rd world countries. Could you please give me a jump start to the essay...Thank you so very much!!!! XOXO

You would not be a first year nursing student unless this is an official part of a curriculum in a school where you have been accepted into the program for a nursing degree. That is the bad news, the good news is that any experience you can get is going to get you ahead of the rest. You can network (get references & contacts), find out if you actually like nursing and discover new resources.
The essay sounds like a piece of cake, talk about your desire to be of service to those less fortunate and who are in desperate need of health education & care. Include mention of compassion, learning new skills and developing communication abilities. Do some deep breathing and relaxing and then open your mind to whatever flows out onto paper...it doesn't have to be perfect the first, second or third draft but just start writing what is in your heart.
