I'm a nurse and have applied for a job where I will be giving out-patients their Methadone (liquid)?

I do have a valid license (nursing). I am waiting on a DEA Background check. I've passed the typical background check, this time and several times before. What is a DEA Check and how long does it take? I find nothing on it, except for Drs. Anyone ever had to pass one? I don't think Health is the best topic for this, however I don't see one that fits!

The DEA background check is a check to see whether or not you have ever been charged with or convicted of a narcotic-related offense. The length of time to get the results back can vary depending upon the person moving the paper (typical of government agencies)....my guess would be 2-4 weeks.

DEA is drug enforcement administration. if you are a nurse you must know how to use google.com.
