Im a 26yr old nurse at a public hospital, I work in the labors rooms and I love my job!?

I live and Puerto Rico and have been working in this hospital for a little over 4 yrs. some new girl came 2 work there like a year after that and started sucking up 2 everyone she got vacation on the holidays which no one there gets vacationes those days. she works in the labor room, er and now shes working in the or and Im like damn so I guess I got jealous and asked 4 some shifts in ob-gyn ward which I started today and oh hell I hate it and I cried so much cause I think 2 myself when did I became this money hungry jealous woman. I love my job and I do 4 love not money and what has happened 2 me that 1 person can affect my thinking so much. my question is what should I do, Is it ok to do it 4 the money like the other nurse which seems like her life is so much better then mines or should I do things because thats what I love and keep feelin like a loser?

You can't change anything this other woman does or recieves, and I am not sure why you care so much. You have a job that you love, you take home money, but now you are crying because you put yourself in a situation, and you still want to find a way to blame this other person. You do realise that this person thinks a whole lot less about you then you seem to think about her.

No one is standing at the time clock to ask you are you here for the money or are you here for the love, and no one at work cares. You also do not need to do an acceptance speech when you pick up your paycheck about how it is not all about you, but about your love for the little people. It is about your bills, take your money home and pay them.

This is not your sister that mother loves best and this is not your boyfriend's new lover. This is just someone at work that has figured out how to play the game better then you. She is not standing around at 3AM crying in her hand because her boss gave her what she demanded.

You have one life, just like the rest of us, and you need to spend a whole lot more time tending it, and not standing in the shadows spitting and hissing and wanting someone to give you....what. As far as I can tell by your question, is that you want someone else to come along and bit** slap this woman into a wall for being promoted before you.

If your facility offers counseling for on the job stress I would go see them, if not, there is the facility chaplin. It is very obvious that you are completely unhappy, but the reason is inside of you, and has nothing to do wiith this woman. She is what you are using as distraction.

You should do what you love. It's pretty natural to be aggravated when it looks like somebody else is being treated better than they deserve, and better than others including you.

It might look like her life is great - but there might be things you don't know about, and her life might really be fairly tough.

Hang in there. Don't bid shifts you hate just for the money.
