??nursing career??

im deciding what career is best for me,but i need to know if being a nurse a rewarding career?? is it a safe career, meaning will their always be a job for a nurse?and last but not least is it a well payed career?? pls i need serios answers thank you !!!!

oh yeah i forgot to ask how long do you have to attend school???

I'm in nursing school and it seems like a great career to me. I think I'll always have a job if I manage to hold on to my license. I think it's rewarding because you do get to help people when they are in their most vulnerable states. You also get to deal with their blood, mucus, feces, urine and vomit.

As far as money goes, that depends on what good money is to you. Nursing doesn't pay bad, IMO, but it's not the highest paying profession either. From what I hear, you really have to work for the $$$ you make. If you want to make more and work less, at least physically, be a pharmacist instead.

Nurses are always needed. My g/f has been a nurse for just about a year now. She got a job just a few weeks after graduating. Pay is good she started at 26.50 and is now at 28 and some change. 12 hours days 3 days a week. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. Her hospital also has a program that takes about a year to get in but its just sat. and sun. but pays an extra $18 an hour. Response above me is very true. You work very hard and be prepared to wipe some nasty ***. My g/f was in school for four years. 2 at CC and 2 at a university in Illinois with their nursing program

U cannot make a wiser choice than nursing. There will always be a demand for nurses, people r not going to stop being ill.
U can travel the world over and know u will be able to have work anywhere u go. The pay rate is very high for a nurse with a BS degree and many places offer a sign-on bonus as well. Ur reward comes from caring for very sick people and see them slowly improve and leave the hospital, u had a part in that. Choices in job sites r broad, if u do not prefer a hospital setting. Go for it, u will not be sorry for a career that will make u a living or just having the knowledge to use at home in caring for ur family.
