Which job to take...nurse recruiter or probation officer? |
I have been unemployed 5 months and now have been offered 2 jobs but have not started either. A month ago, I was extremely excited to be a probation officer until I was told there was a hiring freeze in Fl. I was crushed. SO...I have experience in nurse recruiting etc so I sent my resume off on a whim and was offered a job last week. The pay for both is pretty much the same. Although recruiting also offers commision. But if I don't sell, I may be unemployed again. Also, the recruiter job is 80 miles away one way. I don't mind driving that but for how long? There is no commission with probation so I can't make anymore than base at first. Also, the recruiting job is in a very classy building with classy people. I am a jeans a tshirt girl though. :) Probation you don't always deal with the best people. I can't decide??? This sucks! WIth recruiting I am behind a desk, with probation I visit homes and get out of the office. What would you choose? yes, I know, for a fact, that I have the probation job. I figured I would stay at my mom's twice a week for the recruiting job. I would rather deal with nurses all day then deal with low life's that are on probation. Is the probation officer job still on a hiring freeze? If so go with the nurse recruiting job until the freeze is lifted. There is nothing wrong with accepting the position and later on down the line telling them you have found a better opportunity. |
