Is there any nursing jobs that don't require sticking people with needles?

I am looking to get into the nursing or medical field but feel squemish about sticking people with needles.

regardless of the job, just during school learning to be a nurse you have to stick people with needles. In my class as a medical assistant we had to practice on each other, I had some sore arms! You have to learn to give subq's (back fleshy part of arm) and Intramuscular in the arm and hip so you'll be doing a lot of sticking! Plus on top of that you'll have to learn to give blood draws and IV's. If you are squeamish about it and you really have a desire to be a nurse, you'll probably get over it by the time you're ready to work.

Not too many. Are you sure you want to be a nurse if you can't or don't like to perform one of the fundamental responsibilities of a nurse? It sounds to me like you might need to look at something different.

Talk to a coach. We might be able to help you sort this out. If interested, send me an email and we'll set up a free (no obligation) consultation.

what about a school nurse? i have never seen one of them stick anyone with a needle. (i guess there would be instances where it would be absolutely necessary. maybe you shouldn't be a nurse)

Unfortunately, you can't even get through nursing school without poking a few people with needles. I had a huge phobia about needles before I went to school - believe me, after you do it a few times you'll be ok!

but, but, but, thats the best part.
management is the only other one, but, a manager who has never worked as a nurse on a ward, they really have no clue.
