Why do people consider nursing as a disrespectable job?

Why do people consider nursing as a disrespectable job?

I would not say it is a disrespectable job, instead I say it is a job that is a pain. Dealing with sick people all day, cleaning em up, etc, that really has to have some sort of negative effect on a person.

I don't know anyone who thinks that way.

I don't know anyone who thinks that.

I gont no anyone that feels that way either maybe you dont like the field of nursing and thats ur out take on it.

I totally disagree. I think it is one of the most giving and compassionate jobs out there. Taking care of strangers who need your help, how could that be disrespectable?

Most nursing positions are severely understaffed and it is a truly dog eat dog atmosphere to work in aside from the fact that healthcare is more about money than about helping people get well

I hold nurses with the up most respect, right up there with teachers, social workers and doctors. They deserve more money for the services they provide.

I've only heard of nursing, and anything elese in the medical field actually, as being highly respectable. Who told you that it wasn't?
