How do i get a misdemeaner charge off my record to get a job in nursing?

i am trying to get a job in nursing preferably in a nursing home but with a misdeamener charge i may not get it. the charge was disorderly conduct thanks to my sister in law.how do i get this cleared.thanks

I don't really think they would care about disorderly conduct. They usually look for felony convictions, assault, abuse to a child or the elderly, battery, DUI, drugs,etc. Consult with an attorney, consultations are usually free. It may be that it is not a permanment part of your record anyway.

you have to hire an attorney and the attorney can file the paper work to have it expunged off your record.

You can still get a nursing job. On your application, when you are asked to explain in detail about the misdemeanor, be prepared by writing and practicing the explaination beforehand and having someone go over it with you. Be as specific and objective and TRUTHFUL as possible. Good luck.

Without knowing all the details, I think the best suggestion would be to consult with a lawyer, if you have a few of hundred bucks you can part with.
Or go to the police dept. where the arrest was made, and ask them who to see. I'm sure they would help anyone trying to do what you are doing. They can't do anything about it, but surely they would know who could, and point you in the right direction. If you are not legally an adult, you can go anywhere that counsels young people for free information.
