Of course. There is a nursing shortage all over the country. When you know the city you will be moving to you can go on the web and find local newspaper on-line edition and start browsing their classifieds. You can also go to the on-line yellow pages and get listings for hospitals and doctors offices or whatever type of position you prefer.

There are nursing jobs anywhere you want to go. You picked a very, very good career. If you are moving to one of the metro areas, you'll have a much better chance of having multiple jobs to pick from.

My wife is a Dialysis nurse here in NC. She has moved three times and has never had a problem finding any job anywhere. In fact, she gets recruitment letters still from other places that are willing to pay really good amounts and signing bonuses. Depending on what your nursing specialty is, the key would be moving to or near to a semi-major city. There are lots of medical facilities near Durham, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Charlotte. Don't get so far out in the boonies that the only place that has a nursing opportunity is the local Podunk hospital that starts at 15k a year. Good luck to you!
