What are the possible interventions of levoscoliosis? and the nursing management?

my sister was diagnosed with that abnormalities.. i'm looking forward for the answers to my question.. thank you

Dextroscoliosis is a scoliosis with the convexity on the right side.

Levoscoliosis is a scoliosis with the convexity on the left side

SCOLIOSIS
Treatment

Most children with scoliosis have mild curves 鈥?less than 20 degrees 鈥?and probably won鈥檛 need a brace or surgery. Periodic checkups are needed, though, to be sure the curve doesn鈥檛 progress. Kids who are still growing need checkups every three to six months to see if there have been changes in the curvature of their spines.

The decision to treat scoliosis is not always clear. While there are guidelines for mild, moderate and severe curves, there is a range in which you may have a choice among treatments. Treatment decisions depend on your child's age, how much he or she is likely to grow and the degree and pattern of the curve.

Braces
If your child has a curve of 25 to 40 degrees and he or she is still growing, your doctor may recommend using a brace. Wearing a brace won't cure scoliosis, or even improve the curve, but it usually prevents further progression of the curve.

thank you for the answers.. God Bless Report It

Chiropractic care......although depending on curvature, full recovery cannot be expected. The cost would be very expensive and treatment would last for a long time.

There are chiros that specialize in scoliosis and could possibly do a better job and quicker than I mention, but I have never seen drastic improvements in any of my patients. They do benefit well from a pain management aspect.

I still recommend chiropractic for pain management, disc health, spinal range of motion......which helps prevent further scoliosis and deterioration of the disc and surrounding tissues.

Also, about 30% of scoliosis is hereditary. Her children and possibly you and your children need to be checked out.
