more than anyone not working in the field could ever understand. You are forced to "care" for many more patients than is actually safe, because of the state mandated staffing ratios, the facilities ofcourse, only staff the minimum allowed by regulations, which is far too low. The facilities will not staff more, and lose more money. They are not re embursed enough by the state for medicare patients, and so the nurses put thier licenses on the line daily just by going to work.....
